Stones Throw Farm... takes great pride in the horses we breed. We have paid attention to details when breeding. Our mares are both warmblood mares and exceptional Tb mares. What they all have in common are super kind willing personalities, we feel this is most important as this is where the foal learns much of his or her positive or negative traits that it will carry throughout it's life. Not only do our mares have a highly desired personality, you will find our mares with elegant long necks, a strong top line and good correct confirmation and they have proven to pass these excellent qualities onto their foals. The sires of STF foals are sires who carry bloodlines from the best performers, best producers and have proven themselves to produce top performance offspring and are top performers themselves. STF has been producing top quality pinto warmbloods for over six years and are proud to stand the Dutch bred .stallion RAINE DANCE by the great sire Concorde.
Stones Throw Farm offers broodmare and foal care, and training for a select few horses each year. Please see our information page for details about any of theses services offered.
STONES THROW FARM also has a full service Boarding/training Facility in New Jersey complete with an indoor ring for riding during bad weather and very nice outdoor rings along with a grass TB training track. A very peaceful setting among the hills of Warren county.
STF-NJ is a full service boarding stable on over 60 acres , three seprate barns with a total of 38- 40 stalls , hot water wash stalls, built in individual storage lockers, large isle ways. all barns have big doors on each end of the isles to insure a nice air flow. Cozy and warm in the winter and cool and airy in the summers. The property set on a lovely hillside offers beautiful views all year round and relaxing hacks. There are three outdoor rings, a small schooling ring just outside the 10 stall barn . a nice medium size ring and large jumping ring on the inside of the grass thoroughbred track. There is also a nice size indoor ring just 500ft from the main barn for lessons, and during foal weather riding.
Many large turnout paddocks some with attached sheds. offer our equine boarders a chance to get out and enjoy the sun. Horses at STF are given 2 cooked meals a day and high quality hay. Stalls are bedded in straw and cleaned daily. There is always a manager on staff who lives just above the main barn. Manuel the farm hand has been with STF for over10 years and is incharge of the feeding , stalls and turnout. The horses that live here are happy and relaxed and enjoy life.

WOW that what we hear whenanyone sees her. This is a huge impressive filly. The sweetest young horse, very much an amature type, Soft easy gaits, smooth and easy over the fences and a canter to die for...come try her the second she starts to canter I see a big smaile and an oh my this is heaven, she is like sitting on a big comfy couch. Easy auto changes has been hacked around the shows, did ticketed warm ups , has been and shown in a local green hunter class at 2'6" and 2'9" handled it all very well and it was in a covered ring which she has never ridden in. Raine Dance was imported to the US as a two year old at which time he was injured jumping out of a jump shoot during the KWPN inspection. Unfortunitly this put off his career as a performace horse at the time so he was put to stud , after years of R&R and having the good life as a breeding stallion Raine Dance sound, has been gelded and rides beautifully . He is a lovely horse under saddle light in the bridle, has nice changes and is super over fences. He is an amature type to ride and because of his past injury I would say he is better suited for the 3'-3'6" hunter classes up to 3'9" once in a while. He would be a very flashy mount for hunters or low jumpers, might be able to do more. He is not on any type of drugs now and has never been for soundness
